I was surely going to post this one earlier today, but you know what they say. Better too late than never. So yeah, it's about time to introduce you to my OC x Canon ship, which is none other than YoshiWada (Haruna Yoshida x Mondo Owada). I came up with this ship name (I was originally going to name this ship as YoshiMondo but it sounded too similar to IshiMondo so yuh) and I believe it's really cool ngl. So, as I've told you before, Haruna Yoshida is my Danganronpa OC and she's part of Class 78 aka the class which partocipated in Killing School Life aka Trigger Happy Havoc. Surely enough, I did ship them while making Haruna but I took the idea of shipping them down because of my overthinking. But a couple of friends (especially mintostar101) gave me the motive to ship them again, so here we are! I also need to say that the second slide (aka sketch) is not the first slide (the final artwork), I was really bothered with how it was looking so I had to do it again. Some headcanons for this ship: One, despite Mondo's tough exterior, he finds solace in opening up to Haruna during late-night conversations. Haruna listens attentively, offering support, comforting words and understanding as Mondo shares his innermost thoughts and fears. Two, they are both really supportive of each other, even though they have somehow contrasting personalities. Mondo admires Haruna's positivity and determination, while Haruna appreciates Mondo's loyalty and protective nature. Three, they both enjoy cooking together. Mondo has a soft spot for helping and baking sweets with Haruna and they often spend weekends tryijg out new recipes together. Four, they are really loyal to each other and they stand by each other's side no matter what challenges they face. And five, Haruna introduces Mondo to her love of literature and arts, and Mondo, in turn, introduces Haruna to his passion for motorcycles. They enjoy exploring each other's interests and hobbies, deepening their bond along the way. "Spring will come and so will happiness. Hold on. Life will get warmer." - Anita Krizzan. Today, you guys, it's the spring equinox, as you may already know. That means only one thing: spring is finally making its appearance in our lives! And what couldn't be better than some butterflies flying around a cold and pale human hand, which is part of the winter, so they can give it some warmth and color with their wings? I got the idea from my favorite energy drink, which is none other than Monster Monarch. I decided to capture something similar to these butterflies on it since spring reminds me or butterflies! They are vividly colored unlike the hand, which on the other hand is pale. Why you may ask? The concept was to make it pale white due to the palette of winter: gray, pale colors, just like the weather outside today. While touching the butterflies, it will slowly get the warmth of the butterflies and their colors will have effects on it. How? By spreading their warmth of course! Spring reminds me of renaissance (and the Renaissance itself) so I decided to draw my hand in a delicate pose to match the delicate way the butterflies are scattered around it. You guys, I cried so much while making this one, it made me so emotional tbh, am I supposed to be crying during making an art piece? Yes, or no, you name it. Well, not a lot to share this time, but a second post with my girl? I'll say yes. Haruna is back, this time in Future Arc, having a lighthearted banter with Yasuhiro Hagakure (my concept was a somewhat lighthearted banter anyway), who predicted for fun that something will happen to her after Killing School Life and she's in denial, saying that it was some kind of sorcery (she was yelling this phrase A LOT while in Killing School Life). I ended up making her uniform a bright blue instead of gray or black because I really like the color and I believe it would suit her. Yes, this uniform is somewhat reminiscent of Kiyotaka's (I got inspired by him and my other OC, Taeko Adachi) and since the outfits were somewhat mature if I remember correctly, I decided to give a more mature outfit to Haruna (fun fact: the uniform contains a pale blue hat with gold lining and in the uniform there is a white armband with the logo of Crescent Foundation, which was founded by her grandfather, Ryuchi Yoshida, a few years before the Tragedy begun. Yes, she wasn't added to the Future Foundation right after the killing game ended. She worked with Crescent Foundation by her brother's side before she was added in Future Foundation.) so she could be a bit more mature. Her hair is down (yes, I had to leave her black hair alone this time) and I believe the dark eye circles are more visible. Sleep is not on her list after all. (another fun fact: I was talking with my mom on the phone and I told her I was coloring my drawing of a... panda who adores peaches - Haruna loves peachy-related stuff, give her one peach and she will love you forever) I hope you like it as much as I do! After a month and a half and after surviving 20+ days of exhaustion due to my finals, she's finally here! (the reference I used is included here, and it's the last pic!) After a few days (not really a few tbh), my lady Jinx (Series: Arcane) is finally finished! That was a tough one, I must admit (I even got dirty, especially when I had to add the highlights). But it came out so gorgeous! I kinda struggled with the hair and the color matching (as always, that happens to me a lot) but in the end, I ended up loving it a lot! I wanted to post this yesterday morning, but I forgot lol, anyways here is miss Mommy Long Legs requested by my niece, Irene! Again, I kinda struggled with the colors (that's what's happening when you only got 12 colored pencils, dear) amd I tried a lot with mixing and matching some colors, to get as close as possible to the colors of the reference (it's the 2nd picture, once again credits to the owner) and get the results I wanted.
