Changing your phone number, password and nickname
한국어Where and how to change your nickname, profile photo, phone number and password.
Where to change them
Your nickname, profile photo, phone number and password are all managed in one place — Edit my details. The photo is at the top of the profile area; the nickname, phone number and password are under "basic information" and "account and security" below it.
Nickname and profile photo
-
Nickname: type it under "basic information" on the edit screen and tap Change. Your nickname can be 2–16 characters in any language (Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and more). Numbers, underscore (
_), hyphen (-), full stop (.) and middle dot (・) are allowed; emoji and spaces are not.- You can change your nickname only once, ever. Tapping Change opens a "change your nickname?" confirmation; once you go ahead, the field locks as "1 change used" and you cannot change it again from the screen. If you really need another change, contact the inlink team by chat.
- On inlink, brands and other members see your nickname and social handle (@…) rather than your legal name, so choose carefully.
-
Profile photo: tap the camera icon at the bottom right of the profile area and choose Change photo to upload a new image, or Delete photo to go back to the default. The cover (background) image works the same way through Change cover. Images must be 10MB or smaller.
Changing your phone number (with verification)
Your phone number is changed under "account and security".
- If you have not verified a number yet, the button reads Verify; if you already have one, it reads Change number. Tapping it opens the verification window.
- Enter the new phone number and tap Send code (numbers are treated as Korean +82, so you do not need to pick a country code; for an overseas number, tap This is an overseas number and choose the country).
- Enter the 6-digit code from the text message and tap Confirm to save the number. The screen shows the time remaining, and if the message does not arrive you can request another with Resend code (the same number can be sent to once a minute, so the button shows the remaining time until then).
For more on phone verification itself — why it is needed and what to do when it fails — see the separate article.
Changing your password
Tap Change on the password row under "account and security" to open the window.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter the new password. It must be at least 8 characters and include at least one letter and one number.
- Enter it once more to confirm.
- Tap Change password and it takes effect immediately.
Why your legal name cannot be changed
The legal name you registered at signup cannot be edited on this screen. Brands and other members see only your nickname and social handle (@…), not your legal name, so if you want to change the name others see, manage your nickname instead. If the legal name itself needs correcting (a typo, for example), contact the inlink team by chat.
