What the participation deposit is — how it is held and returned

한국어

What the participation deposit held when you apply means, when it is returned or passed on, and where to check it.

What is a participation deposit

Some campaigns ask you to place a participation deposit when you apply. It appears on the application screen as a "deposit of N,NNNP required" chip with a lock icon, and the points are placed on deposit the moment you apply.

The deposit works as a pledge that you intend to see the campaign through. Even when a campaign does not require one, you can choose to add a deposit yourself on the application screen to show the brand you are serious.

When it is held and when it comes back

예치한 보증금은미선정자동 반환선정 → 제출 → 승인전액 반환무응답 방치캠페인 담당자에게 전달

  • When you apply — the deposit is placed (held) immediately.
  • If you are not selected — it is returned automatically, with no request needed.
  • Selected → deliverable submitted → approved (by the brand or by the automatic 14-day approval) — the deposit is returned in full at that point.
  • Selected but left unanswered with no deliverable — after the brand's notices and the grace period, the campaign is cancelled automatically and the deposit may be passed to the campaign contact.

Returns are always made in points. (It is a "return", not a "refund".)

Where to check it

  1. Points (/wallet) — the influencer screen shows "available points" and the "deposit account" side by side. Deposits held for campaigns in progress are shown separately from the points you can withdraw, so an uneven-looking balance is nothing to worry about.
  2. My activity (/activity) — shows the progress of each campaign you applied to (applied, selected, submitted, paid and so on).
  3. In your points history you can look up each campaign's deposit movements under "campaign deposit" (placed) and "campaign deposit" (returned). A deposit passed to the brand is marked "passed to the brand" on the matching "placed" line.

When a deposit is not returned

If, after being selected, you abandon the campaign without good reason (no deliverable, no contact) or stop work without agreeing it with the brand, the deposit you placed may be passed to the campaign contact. This follows the notices you agreed to when applying. If the outcome seems unfair, you can message the brand or use the dispute process.

Points people often get confused about

Q. I placed a deposit and my balance looks smaller. The deposit has moved to the "deposit account" (the held amount shown on the points screen); it has not disappeared. It comes back automatically if you are not selected or when you complete the campaign normally.

Q. Do I have to request the return if I am not selected? No. If you are not selected, it is returned automatically without any request.

Q. Do I always need a deposit to apply? No. Only campaigns marked with the "deposit required" chip on the detail screen need one.
