When a brand sends you a collaboration proposal (what a proposal is)

What a direct collaboration proposal from a brand is, how long you have to respond, and how it differs from applying to a campaign.

What a proposal is (direct outreach)

A proposal is a direct collaboration request a brand sends directly to a particular influencer, without opening public recruitment. Because the brand approaches you after looking at your profile and portfolio, the terms often fit you closely. Proposals appear in your received proposals list, and since the brand places the reward in escrow when sending, work can start as soon as you accept.

How it differs from applying to a campaign

CampaignProposal
How it startsYou find a campaign and applyThe brand sends it directly to you
CompetitionYou compete with other influencers and the brand selectsNo competition; it is addressed only to you
Negotiating termsYou apply on the posted termsIf the brand allows it, you can send a counter-proposal

Reviewing a proposal

The received proposals list shows the brand name, title, reward and status at a glance. Tap an item to open the detail screen (/proposals/[id]), where you can see the proposal content, budget, social channel, submission deadline and response deadline. If the brand turned on the "reveal after acceptance" option, the detailed guidelines and attachments stay locked until you accept.

Response deadline

Every proposal has a response deadline (7 days by default), with the exact date shown in the "response deadline" field on the detail screen. Choose "accept" or "decline" on the detail screen (/proposals/[id]) before then, or, if the brand allowed counter-proposals, use the "🔄 Terms not quite right? Send a counter-proposal" button to ask for different terms (after sending one you wait for the brand to accept or decline, and cannot send another). If you do not respond at all by the deadline, the proposal expires automatically and the reward the brand escrowed is returned to them — with no consequence for you.
