Campaign rules and penalties (no-shows, paybacks, reporting)

한국어

Campaign guidelines, the ban on no-shows, paybacks and direct dealing, how to report them, and the penalty for deleting a review.

Following the guidelines

Every campaign has guidelines set by the brand (how to use the product, what the content must include and so on). The campaign creation and editing screens show the operating policy inlink applies to all campaigns, and the same wording appears on the application screen.

  • Not following the guidelines and notices can have consequences.
  • Products and services you receive may not be resold; resale results in restrictions on your use of the platform.
  • Content produced using AI is not allowed and results in restrictions on your use of the platform.

Penalties for no-shows and abandoning a campaign

Cutting off contact after being selected, or leaving a campaign without submitting anything and without going through the cancellation process with the brand, counts as abandoning the campaign (a no-show).

  • A proper cancellation means sending a "request selection cancellation" from your activity list and having the other party (the brand) confirm it. Leaving without that process can mean your participation deposit is passed to the campaign contact.
  • If there is no response by the submission deadline, automatic cancellation follows, and the participation deposit may be passed to the campaign contact in that case too.
  • Deposits are handled differently for a properly agreed cancellation (for example one on the brand's side) and for abandonment (on the influencer's side). See the article on not being selected and cancellations for the full process.

Three overdue submissions lock new applications

If three or more campaigns pile up whose submission deadline has passed without you ever uploading anything, new campaign applications only are locked while that lasts.

  • Campaigns already in progress are unaffected. They are not cancelled and your points stay as they are.
  • The lock lifts on the spot once you are down to two or fewer overdue campaigns. If four are overdue, uploading two is enough.
  • A campaign is also removed from the count when the brand extends its deadline.
  • These do not count: cancelled campaigns, campaigns with a cancellation request already filed, campaigns whose reward you have received, and campaigns where you uploaded something at least once.
  • When applications are locked, we show you the names of the overdue campaigns. Campaigns you can still upload to link to the submission screen; campaigns whose submission window has closed link to the deadline status in your activity history.

For campaigns whose submission window has closed completely, check the deadline status in your activity history. If you have not requested an extension yet, you can request one there; if you already have, wait for the brand to confirm.

Paybacks, direct dealing and how to report

If you receive either of the following, the campaign is probably not being run properly.

  • A payback request: being asked to return part of the reward you were paid
  • An invitation to deal directly: being asked to arrange the work privately, outside inlink

You can report these situations.

  1. Go to /help/inquiry (1:1 inquiry).
  2. Choose "campaign" or "other" as the inquiry type.
  3. In the details, write the campaign name, the other party (the brand) and exactly how the payback or direct-dealing request was made.

If it is a specific dispute with the other party about a campaign, proposal or service order — a missing deliverable, unpaid compensation, a guideline breach — you can also file at /disputes/new (file a dispute) and choose a type such as "guideline violation".

Penalty for deleting or hiding a review

Content you submitted after completing a campaign carries a three-month retention obligation from the submission date, and must not be deleted or made private during that period. inlink automatically re-checks content URLs during the retention period; if a deletion or a switch to private is detected, you are notified in the app immediately and campaign applications are restricted for 30 days.

How to report

To report inappropriate content or a review, use the flag icon (report) available on some screens such as Market service reviews, choose a reason and file it. For other campaign and proposal problems, file through /help/inquiry (1:1 inquiry) or /disputes/new (file a dispute) as described above. Reports and inquiries are reviewed after they are filed.
