How to get a tax invoice — electronic tax invoice guide
한국어How to register your business details and request an electronic tax invoice when topping up points, and how it is issued and delivered.
When you can get a tax invoice
On inlink you can request an electronic tax invoice only when you request a points top-up (there is no request field on the subscription payment screen). If you choose "tax invoice" as your proof of expense while topping up by bank transfer, it is issued automatically once the transfer is confirmed.
① Register your business details in advance
A tax invoice needs your company's business details. Rather than typing them every time, register them once in your organization settings.
- Go to
/biz/settings/organization(Settings > Organization > Organization details). - Fill in the following.
- Trade name (company name)
- Business registration number — enter it and tap "verify" to see the National Tax Service result (whether the business is active) right away.
- Representative name
- Address
- Business type / business category (optional)
- Tax invoice email — the electronic tax invoice is sent to this address.
- Tax invoice CC email (optional) — an address to copy alongside the main one. The notice goes to the CC address registered on the organization as well.
- Tap "save".
Once these are stored, the business registration number, company name, representative name and receiving email are filled in for you the next time you top up (the top-up screen says "filled in from your registered company details"). You can still change the values on the top-up screen if you need to.
Only members with the Owner or Admin role can edit company details. Ordinary members can view them.
② Requesting a tax invoice with your top-up
- Choose the amount to top up on
/biz/payments/charge. - Under proof of expense, choose "tax invoice".
- Check the business registration number, company name, representative name and tax invoice email (already filled in if you did step ①). If you need to, open "additional details (optional)" to enter the business address, business type, category, contact name and contact number. Anything you leave blank is issued blank.
- Tap the "request a top-up of KRW N" button to file the request.
- Transfer the money to the account shown.
For the whole bank transfer top-up process (choosing the amount, the depositor name, the account details), see Topping up points.

③ Checking and receiving it
- The electronic tax invoice is issued automatically once the transfer is confirmed. There is nothing more to request.
- It is sent to the tax invoice email you entered with the request.
- You can follow the request and issuing status in the proof column on
/biz/payments(payment management). It reads "issued" when done. - If you entered something wrong (the business registration number and so on) or issuing seems delayed, see "If it was issued incorrectly" below.
If it was issued incorrectly
A tax invoice has no "fix just this one field". The law uses the word "amend", but in practice it means filing two documents with the National Tax Service again: one that cancels the original with a minus (−) and one new document. It is less like rubbing out a line than drawing a red line through it and writing it again below.
So the sooner you tell us about a mistake, the better. Fixing it after a VAT return has been filed means redoing a return that has already gone in, which creates work for us and for your accounting team alike.
The "actions" column in your payment history — one ⋯ button holds everything
At the far right of the /biz/payments (payment management) table is an ⋯ (three dots) button. Tapping it opens, in words, what you can do on that row.
| Menu item | When it appears | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| View receipt | Rows paid by card | Opens the card receipt in a new window. |
| Send the email again | Rows with a tax invoice or cash receipt | Sends the already-issued document, unchanged, to another address. It is greyed out before issuing. |
| Request a correction | Rows with a tax invoice or cash receipt | Opens chat with the inlink team. Use it when the content of the document needs changing. |
Rows with nothing to do (points movements and so on) show no ⋯ button at all. On a phone the table becomes cards, and the same three items appear inside the card as text buttons.
If only the receiving email address was wrong — you can resend it yourself
If a typo sent the document to the wrong mailbox, you can fix it from the screen.
- Open
/biz/payments(payment management). - Tap the ⋯ button in the actions column at the far right of that row and choose "send the email again". On a phone the same text button is inside the card. On rows not yet issued the item is greyed out and cannot be tapped.
- Enter the address to send to and send again.
Not one character of the document changes, and nothing new goes to the National Tax Service. It simply posts the existing document to another address. Sending many times in quick succession is blocked, so please check the address once more before you tap.
If the content of the document needs changing — ask the inlink team in chat
The items below cannot be changed on screen. Tap the ⋯ button in the actions column of that row on /biz/payments and choose "request a correction", or tell us through 1:1 inquiry.
| What is wrong | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Trade name · address · business type · category | A mistake here does not invalidate the document. To fix it we issue one cancellation of the original plus one new document. |
| Business registration number · issue date | These have to be right, so two documents have to be reissued. Our team checks it against the payment record first. |
| Amount | This can only be changed where the figure differs from the money that actually moved. We cannot change the amount while the actual transaction stays as it was. |
| Reissuing to a different company as the buyer | Fixing a typo and issuing to a different company are entirely different things. We have to establish which it is, so a team member handles it. |
Correction requests are handled much faster if you say which payment it is (date and amount) and what should be changed to what.
Cash receipts — you can change the purpose and attribution yourself on Hometax
Cash receipts have no partial amendment either: the original is cancelled and a new one is issued with the correct details.
But the three things people ask for most can be changed directly on Hometax without going through us. The National Tax Service already has the menu for it.
- Changing the purpose — income deduction ↔ business expense
- Changing which place of business it is attributed to
- Changing whether input VAT is deducted
Sign in to Hometax, find the item in your cash receipt history and change it there. It is much faster than asking us.
What we have to handle is a wrong amount, or cancelling the transaction itself. In that case we issue the cancellation — it needs the National Tax Service approval number and the transaction date of the original, and those are in our records, so just tell us which payment it is through 1:1 inquiry.
One thing to know in advance: a receipt cannot be issued for the first time after the fact (retroactive issuing). Please choose your proof of expense when you request the top-up.
Frequently asked about issuing
Can I get a tax invoice if I have not verified my business registration number yet? Your business details (the business registration number and so on) need to be registered and verified for issuing to go ahead without delay. If you have not finished business verification from sign-up, please complete that first.
Should I choose a tax invoice or a cash receipt? Choose "tax invoice" if you need proof of expense as a corporation or a business. Choose "cash receipt (business expense)" or "cash receipt (income deduction)" if you need a cash receipt for business expense or for personal income deduction.
I did not choose a proof of expense when topping up — can I get one later? The proof of expense has to be chosen at the moment you request the top-up. A request filed as "none" is hard to convert to a tax invoice afterwards, so please choose before you file the request if you need one.
