How to send a direct collaboration proposal to an influencer
한국어How to write a direct proposal to a specific influencer, what it costs, and how acceptance, decline and returns work.
Proposal or campaign — when to use which
Publishing a campaign is an open call: any influencer who fits the conditions can apply. A direct proposal is the opposite — you use it when you want to ask one particular influencer to work with you.
You can find influencers to propose to on /discover (influencer discovery) by channel, category and metrics, and start straight from the "propose" button on the discovery screen, an influencer profile, /biz/mylist (favorites) or /biz/collaborations (collaboration history). The "propose" button at the top of the "proposals received" page (/proposals) also starts a new proposal.
Writing the proposal (type, how it is provided, guidelines)
- Choose the influencer (search by nickname or pick from your favorites). If you arrived through the "propose" button on a profile, this is already filled in.
- Choose the brand the proposal goes out under, and the campaign type.
- Choose how the product is provided for that type (delivery, visit, purchase and so on — the same options as when publishing a campaign).
- Set the reward amount and the response deadline. The response deadline can be 3 to 30 days (7 by default).
- Write the guidelines (what you are asking for), at least 10 characters. You can attach reference files, and turning on "show after acceptance" means the influencer sees the guidelines and attachments only once they accept.
Sending fee and held points
- Each proposal you send costs 5,000P as a sending fee. It applies to members with no subscription and to the Starter plan; it is waived on the Growth and Pro plans.
- If the proposal carries a reward, that amount is held in escrow the moment you send. Until the influencer accepts, neither you nor the influencer can spend it.
- If the influencer declines, or the response deadline passes with no response and the proposal expires automatically, the held reward (if any) and the sending fee are returned to you in full, automatically. The same applies if you withdraw the proposal yourself.
Accepting, declining and counter-proposals
An influencer who receives a proposal can simply accept or decline it.
On top of that, if you turn on "allow counter-proposals" when sending, the influencer can send a counter-proposal. There are two kinds: "I will take part for the product only" and "I would like an extra reward of N P". When a counter-proposal arrives it is your turn to accept or decline, and the influencer cannot counter again (they get one).
- The option exists on both direct and bulk proposals, and is on by default.
- Turned off, the influencer's screen shows no "counter-propose" button and they can only accept or decline.
- Price inquiry mode is an exception — in that mode naming a price is the set way to respond, so the influencer can always send an amount regardless of this option.
- Accepting an extra-reward counter-proposal holds the additional amount as well (no second sending fee). Accepting a "product only" counter-proposal returns the held reward in full and the collaboration goes ahead on the product alone (the sending fee you already paid is not returned, because the proposal did go through).
- This default applies to proposals you send from now on. Proposals already sent keep their original setting.
When it is your turn to answer, please answer within 7 days. If the influencer has countered with different terms, or has named a price in response to a price inquiry, the ball is in your court. The deadline is 7 days from the moment that request arrived (for example, a request at 2pm on 1 September must be answered by 2pm on 8 September). We send one reminder as the deadline approaches (about two days before for counter-proposals, about one day before for price inquiries), and once it passes the item closes automatically. The reward points you had held and the sending fee are then returned in full, exactly as if you had declined — nothing is ever accepted on your behalf.
After acceptance
Once the influencer accepts, everything follows the same flow as an ordinary campaign. The influencer submits the content, you approve it, and a proposal with a reward is paid within 14 days of submission. You can follow the progress on /proposals.
