Choosing between campaign types (delivery, visit, purchase)

한국어

The differences between delivery, visit and purchase campaigns, how each one runs, and how to pick the right type for your product.

When you create an experience campaign (/biz/campaigns/new) you choose a type under "delivery method". Different products and services suit different types, so knowing the differences in advance makes creation much easier.

Delivery-type (you ship the product)

You send the product to the influencer's home. As the on-screen wording puts it, "the brand ships the product to their home".

  • The product goes to the address the selected influencer entered when applying.
  • You register a tracking number for each selected influencer on the applicant management screen (/biz/campaigns/[id]/applicants). See Registering tracking numbers and checking delivery.
  • Suits campaigns for physical products — cosmetics, food, household goods — that are used and reviewed.

Visit-type (visiting a store or venue)

The influencer visits a store or venue in person. The on-screen description is "the influencer visits an offline store or venue".

  • Suits services that can only be experienced on site: restaurants, cafés, beauty salons, workshops.
  • Entering the visit information (address, opening hours, things to note) when you create the campaign lets influencers check before visiting.

Purchase-type (they buy, you pay it back)

The influencer buys the product with their own money first, and once their participation is confirmed the purchase cost comes back as reward points. The creation screen states it as: "In a purchase-type campaign, the influencer buys the product with their own money to take part. The purchase cost is paid back as reward points."

  • Entering the product purchase price calculates the reward points automatically (the reward works as a payback of the purchase price).
  • Choose one of two purchase methods — online (buying through a shop link) or offline (buying at a store) — and enter the details (purchase URL, store address and contact).
  • Suits products sold in online shops such as SmartStore, and products sold only in physical stores.

How each type runs for the influencer

The steps an influencer goes through, and what they have to submit, differ by type.

  • Delivery-type: apply (entering an address) → selection → receive the product → create and submit content
  • Visit-type: apply → selection → visit the store or venue → create and submit content
  • Purchase-type: apply → selection → buy it themselves (with proof of purchase) → create and submit content → reward (payback) paid

For more on how participation works from the influencer's side, see How each campaign type works.

Choosing the type for your product

  • You want people to try a physical product → delivery-type
  • You want people to experience a store, space or service on site → visit-type
  • You want the actual purchase experience reflected in the review → purchase-type

Once you have chosen, see Creating and publishing a campaign for how to create it, and Approving deliverables and paying rewards for how to review what influencers submit.
